POSITION PURPOSE
Under limited supervision the Supply Chain Tech I is responsible for all aspects included in standard work form #3000, servicing Blue Bin technology nodes, #3001 Blue Bin Stage operations #3002, filling Blue Bin supply order art of bin fill and Milk Run standard work. They are responsible for ensuring the node area is neat, tidy, stocked and fully functioning and work with and support Blue Bin stage operations team and support strider team. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence Guiding Behaviors and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

1.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with Mercy standards.

2.

Counts and fills linen requisitions using proper technology and process

3.

Completes and follow Kanban standard work for operating procedures #3000 Replenishing Blue bin technology , #3001 Blue bin Stage operation, and #3002 The art of filling Blue bins

4.

Follows the empty Blue Bin returns process by pulling away all returns to original locations

5.

Demonstrates an understanding of how stage operation works and the Supply Tech 1 role in that operation

6.

Demonstrates teamwork/cooperation in providing services to direct/indirect customers

7.

Keeps Supervisor and team leads informed of pertinent information related to job duties and the completion of scheduled work, pulling the Andon when assistance is required

8.

Fosters an environment of PDCA in their daily work activities. Support of PEX activities and lean training

9.

Meets productivity /work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe

10.

Takes an active role in enhancing ability to carry out job functions through personal and professional/job-related growth and development, and participates in medical center and/or departmental education programs.

11.

Supports and abides by all medical center, departmental, and safety policies and procedures. Proactively identifies safety concerns surrounding the work environment.

12.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate/GED required. Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e. Healthstream, internet, etc.) Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Mercy and Trinity Health.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must successfully pass employment physical examination and must adhere to applicable organizational requirements on an annual basis for Employee Health Directives. Must possess the ability to comply with Mercy and Trinity Health policies and procedures. This job is categorized as \"Medium Work\". Has the physical stamina to meet the requirements of this job. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and /or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Must be able to handle stress effectively. Must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to environmental elements, internal and external, which may affect the work place, such as infectious disease, chemical and/or chemical fumes, dust, noise, physical injury from an out of control patient, and adverse effects of inclement weather which may occur.
